Michael is a guitar player, dj and electronic musician, and has been writing songs and producing music since the age of 14. He has been involved in several bands throughout his life, the most recent being Blark, a heavy-hitting project that blended 70’s psychedelic, melodic rock with crunchy, experimental metal and tribal rhythms. Blark originated in Akron, Ohio in 1994 and migrated to Portland, Oregon in 1998, eventually disbanding in Winter of 2000.
Michael was a business manager for Kinko’s and FedEx from 1999 to 2008 when he transitioned to managing Someday’s finances and operations full time, lending direction and assistance to the curative team, and is the main point of contact for venue rentals and private event reservations.
Opening Someday is an opportunity for me to change what I’ve experienced with venues as a performer by opening a venue that adequately appreciates the talent that makes the space what it is. We truly want to be at the forefront of promoting underground talent to the next level. We will do this by treating performers as the center of the Viva L’ Arte mission and connecting them to the people who will support them through all available avenues to us."
