Featured artists for this month include, 15 Degrees Below Zero, Critical Theater, Dead/Bird, Argumentix, Soup Purse, Forrest Friends and Aubrey Birdwell, with 8mm & 16mm film projection by Jay Blohm.
About the artist
Soup Purse is the solo project of Todd Dickerson, synthesist in psyche-pop-improv band Dendrites, as well as the vocalist/electronician of absurdist space-rock assault group Space Hawk. Soup Purse performances are an attempt to bridge the gap between humor and experimental music. Otherwise a 3rd rate boldfaced ripoff of the style of bay area sonic pranksters Anti-ear and the Bran (...) Pos, let's hope he can eventually bring something new to the table. Or you can just watch him make funny faces at his cute little boxes and wires.
