About the artist
Mortii was born in the summer of 2004. We first played together in an experimental/electronic/percussion outfit called Zdefekt. As the rest of the band took breaks, Shevaun and I continued pumping out our own sonic mud in the dark, dank basement...resulting in the decision that we would form our own band. Mortii began with analog keyboard, guitar, vocal, and sampler......we've branched out to include other sound sources along the way: short wave radio, lightning machine, cello, etc. An early attempt at describing our sound—"Quim powered death machines".
Some of Shevaun's other projects include: Boosatali, Fruhe Werke, Black Cheer, and Bad Blood.
