KLEZMOCRACY, with GINGGANG
This corridoor within the mansion of new music is decorated with aristocratic reserve, with the trappings of a gypsy life left behind. Things these three bands have in common: violin, sweet melodious singing, Eastern European influence, strange baroque arrangements, postmodern touches of metal and ethereal pop. Reasons to stay away: perhaps you've hurt yourself, or you are afraid of crowds.
The freewheeling musical combo Klezmocracy leaves few musical stones unturned. This eclectic group of professionals has pooled their many years of musical experience and are cooking up an Afro-Hebrew musical stew seasoned with Latin, Jazz, Cabaret, Rock and Klezmer.
The group is made up of Ralph Huntley (piano), Joseph Janiga (drums), Courtney Von Drehle (saxophones), Jason DuMars (saxophones) and Damian Erskine (bass).
