About the artist
With her start in dance and improvisation in Prescott, AZ, Kathleen has been making improvised performance for over 10 years in dance, and five years in music. In Portland, her role as artist and organizer have included: curating Holy Goats! Sunday Afternoon. Improvisations at Performance Works NW, for the 2004-2005 season; directing mostly improvised music and dance group piece titled "Pigeon", which traveled to San Francisco; being a member of Super Unity; performing at the Seattle Improvised Music Festival and the Olympia Festival of Experimental Music; recently organizing the Food + Shelter Festival; being an integral part of Portland's contact improvisation community; as well as maintaining an occassional appearance as a solo performance artist.
