Featured artists for this month include, 15 Degrees Below Zero, Critical Theater, Dead/Bird, Argumentix, Soup Purse, Forrest Friends and Aubrey Birdwell, with 8mm & 16mm film projection by Jay Blohm.
About the artist
The two folks who make up Forrest Friends have been playing together in various ensembles for most of their lives, but only formed Forrest Friends after the dissolution of the trio version of Red Squirrels. This unfortunate event combined with a general feeling of restlessness and an interest in persuing and combining noise and improvisation with traditional folk and ethnic influenced rock and drone led to the open duo formation of Forrest Friends. Forrest Friends aim to delight the listener with improvised vocal drones, swirling percussion, abused moog, and more. Forrest Friends is sure to be a performance you won't soon forget.
