GRAB BAG #3 will feature new work by Sarah Shapiro (new music and video from upcoming solo album), Alicia McDaid and Greg Arden (Russian disco lounge dance-along), Mary Christmas ("Trancendental Love War"—participatory instruction on conscious losing), Colin Beatty (reads aloud from a clothing catalog, with special focus on the characters' emotional states), and Scout Niblett (Yet undisclosed offering).
Alicia McDaid is a painter and musician who has lived in Portland for 9 years. Most recently she has worked as a traveling puppeteer for Tears of Joy Puppet Theater, a creative recruiter/jingle write for Wieden + Kennedy, a set painter for theater and tv commercials. She is in the bands Ape Shape and in Dead Elm and has collaborated with Zak Margolis on 2 biographical video projects that involve crying, dancing and ambrosia salad.
