Seldom does a Friday pass without a dance night at Someday. And by "dance night", we mean both that a selection of groundbreaking DJs, Live PAs, and laptop jockeys will provide a soundtrack for your own shoes; but that a troupe of dancers from the other side of the stage will deliver a short performance for inspirational purposes.
About the artist
Formed in 1999 by Luis Tataje and Daryl Groetsch aka PULSE EMITTER from the ashes of dubwise vehicle named Kinetic Theories in Dub. Which members included some of PDX's finest.. Roster included members from Systemwide, Scion, Old Dominion, Fatman, Freighttrain Cassanova, Gone Orchestra and Burgundy. Acroyear released in 2001 a single "Instant Prehistorix" on the BSI records comp. DOCKING SEQUENCE BSI CAMPAIGN VOL 1.Long time regulars to monthlyelectronic showcase HYPNOTICA and NERD EVENTS. Eventually hookin up w/2GYRLS prod. for numerous events. Heavy dub like frequencies and many performances later the duo became a solo act. Luis Tataje, guitarist, synthesist, and programmer, played in groups that ranged from funk(FATMAN) to gothpop(BURGUNDY) to just plain crazy(KINETIC THEORIES in DUB). Took his love of heavy downtempo/glitch and reevolved Acroyear. Now frequently seen with his crew, The Panzen Nettwyrk(affiliated w/2GYRLS Prod) Audio-wise acroyear does post production.
